On September 24, 2024, Big Hit Music premiered the seventh episode of RUN JIN, featuring BTS member Jin alongside special guest Ji Suk-jin, a prominent figure in South Korea's entertainment scene known for his work as a comedian, singer, and TV presenter.

The episode, titled "The New Channel Owner," marked the duo's first meeting since Jin's military enlistment in December 2022. Their playful banter and comedic chemistry provided plenty of laughs as they engaged in a series of luck-based challenges.

The episode kicked off with Ji Suk-jin's surprise appearance, immediately catching Jin off guard. The pair humorously complimented each other on their youthful appearances before diving into a series of games.

In the first challenge, both contestants struggled to draw winning envelopes, setting the tone for their luck-driven antics. The food-themed game that followed required them to guess ingredients from zoomed-in images, with Jin narrowly emerging victorious.

The competition intensified during a “battle for chopsticks,” where Jin triumphed again, leaving Ji Suk-jin hilariously grappling with oversized utensils. Later, a dessert challenge saw Jin win the opportunity to choose first, only to end up with a 'dud' envelope, allowing Ji Suk-jin to indulge in watermelon patbingsu and cheesecake.

The comedic highlight came when Jin suffered a brain freeze while sneaking a taste of Ji Suk-jin’s dessert, adding to the episode's lighthearted atmosphere.

The final challenge involved a trampoline workout set to BTS hits, where Jin narrowly claimed victory but misinterpreted staff cues, resulting in a punishment workout while Ji Suk-jin relaxed.

The episode concluded with a teaser for next week’s installment, promising more fun with Ji Suk-jin returning as a guest.
