V to release picture-perfect surprise with 'TYPE 1' photobook

V from BTS let cat the out of the bag with a surprise announcement of a photobook release.

BIG HIT MUSIC has announced V's (aka Kim Tae-Hyung) much-anticipated photobook, TYPE 1, set to release on July 9.

According to The Korea Times, V’s agency spilled beans about the making of TYPE 1: from the planning stages, V has participated personally in selecting shooting locations, and titles to curate moments that he wanted to share with his fans.

Although the Layover singer is currently busy in his mandatory military service, he has many ventures up his sleeve to keep his fans engaged to remember BTS throughout his 18 months of service.

Before the revelation of his 224-page photobook, he dropped Fri(end)s on March 15, which amassed more than seven million views within 24 hours of its release and earned him the 65th spot on Billboard Hot 100.

We are excited to announce the release of the V “TYPE 1” photobook.

This photobook captures V’s moments of complete rest, revealing his comfortable and natural self as he takes a break from his busy schedule to enjoy some time alone.

V participated in every step of the planning and production, from selecting the travel destination to deciding on the title and the photobook’s components, culminating in a 224-page photobook packed with various moments he wishes to share with ARMY.

Not only will each chapter in the photobook help you learn more about V, or Kim Taehyung, in depth, the photobook will serve as a precious addition to your collection, with included items such as a bookmark, a postcard set, and photo stickers that capture the adventurous vibes of traveling.

“TYPE 1,” a collage of V’s personal taste, is available for pre-order starting June 27 and will officially release on July 9.
