V Hits New Peaks On Billboard’s Artist 100 And Hot 100 As “Slow Dancing” Debuts

After making an impressive solo debut on the Billboard 200, BTS’s V has now also achieved his highest rankings yet as a soloist on Billboard’s Artist 100 and Hot 100!

On September 19 local time, Billboard revealed that V had re-entered its Artist 100 at No. 3 in what marks his third overall week on the chart. With this new peak, V has now tied his bandmate Suga’s record for the second-highest ranking achieved by a Korean soloist in Artist 100 history (bested only by Jimin, who topped the chart in April).

Additionally, V’s new title track “Slow Dancing” debuted at No. 51 on the Hot 100 (Billboard’s weekly ranking of the most popular songs in the United States), making it V’s third and highest-charting solo entry after “Christmas Tree” (which peaked at No. 79) and “Love Me Again” (No. 96).

Meanwhile, V’s first solo album “Layover” debuted at No. 2 on not only the Billboard 200, but also the Top Album Sales chart and the Top Current Album Sales chart—meaning that “Layover” was the second best-selling album of the week in the United States (following Olivia Rodrigo’s “Guts”).

V also managed to chart all of the tracks from “Layover” on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart, Global 200, and Global Excl. U.S. chart this week.

“Slow Dancing” debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart, while his B-side “Blue” entered the chart at No. 12. V’s pre-release singles “Love Me Again” and “Rainy Days” re-entered the chart at No. 34 and No. 35 respectively, and his final B-side “For Us” debuted at No. 49. “Love Me Again” also climbed back up to No. 2 in its fifth week on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart.

On the Global Excl. U.S. chart, “Slow Dancing” debuted at No. 3, followed by “Love Me Again” at No. 18, “Rainy Days” at No. 35, “Blue” at No. 59, and “For Us” at No. 69.

Meanwhile, “Slow Dancing” entered the Global 200 at No. 4, trailed by “Love Me Again” at No. 39, “Rainy Days” at No. 59, “Blue” at No. 89, and “For Us” at No. 113.

Congratulations to V on his exciting achievements!
