V is set to spread holiday cheer with two festive music releases this season. First up is “Winter Ahead,” a jazz-pop duet with singer Park Hyo Shin, arriving on Nov. 29. Written by Grammy-winning songwriter Jesse Harris (“Don’t Know Why”), the track reflects V’s wish to bring fans a “warm and joyful winter.”
The collaboration highlights V’s love for jazz and his longtime friendship with Park. It also adds to his tradition of holiday releases, which includes “Snow Flower” and “Christmas Tree.”
Just a week later, on Dec. 6, V will release a reimagined duet of “White Christmas” with the late Bing Crosby. Produced by Gregg Field, the track blends V’s voice with a restored archival recording of Crosby’s classic. V has called the project “an honor,” citing Crosby as a major musical influence.
Currently serving in South Korea’s military, V has remained active musically. His debut solo EP, Layover, released in September 2023, peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Full BTS group activities are expected to resume in 2025.
