On July 26, 2024, the Korean Culture and Information Services (KOCIS) lauded BTS Jimin's solo achievements. The government organization posted about the BTS idol's latest album accomplishments on their official Instagram handle.

For the unversed, on July 19, Jimin released his second solo album, MUSE. The album consists of 7 tracks, including the title track, WHO, which recorded the highest Spotify debut by a K-pop solo artist on its first release day. WHO amassed over 9.9 million streams on Spotify on July 19. He topped the Spotify Global Daily Top Songs chart on July 23, surpassing Billie Eilish and Sabrina Carpenter.

Meanwhile, KOCIS highlighted these accolades in their caption and wrote,

"With nearly 10 million streams, the hit set a Spotify record for the highest number of daily streams by a K-pop solo artist. Jimin's success has gone beyond streaming platforms. He also secured the top spot on a global digital artist ranking reflecting an artist's overall popularity across platforms like Spotify, YouTube, iTunes, Apple Music and Shazam."

More about BTS Jimin's exemplary achievements with the release of MUSE
On July 19, MUSE entered No. 1 on the UK iTunes Album chart, making Jimin the first Korean act to achieve this feat in 2024. Additionally, the album topped the chart across 87 countries, including France, the US, Vietnam, Germany, and Russia.

Simultaneously, the album's title track, WHO, topped 112 countries on the iTunes Worldwide Song chart within 24 hours of its release. Other songs from MUSE acquired five slots in the Top 10 of the US iTunes charts. Notably, Be Mine peaked at #5, Rebirth (Intro) at #7, SLOW DANCE (feat. Sofia Carson) at #6, and Interlude: SHOWTIME at #10.

The album's pre-release single, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco), also amassed over 100 million streams on Spotify on July 21. It became the fastest song by a K-pop and Korean soloist to achieve this milestone in 2024. The song is a subtle nod to The Beatles' 1967 album, The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band—that introduced contemporary music to the world.

On July 25, 2024, 15 different renditions of WHO entered the Top 10 of the US iTunes chart. These new remixes include Acoustic, Rock, Shibuyakei, Funky, and Beautiful Mind. The new renditions were released on July 23, 2024, by BIGHIT MUSIC.

In other news, BTS member Park Jimin is currently serving his mandatory military enlistment since December 12, 2023. The artist is set to release a reality travel show along with bandmate Jungkook on August 8, 2024, on Disney+.

The show, Are You Sure?!, will air 8 episodes and show Jimin and Jungkook's adventurous trip across New York, Japan, and Jeju Island.
