BTS' RM is often dubbed as one of the best leaders in the K-pop industry. While the rapper tries to do his best, the role does take a toll on him.

During a chat with fellow bandmate Jimin, RM opened up about how his latest album Right Place, Wrong Person came into being. Sharing that the solo album is a compilation of everything he wasn't able to say due to his status as BTS' leader, the rapper also touched upon the burdens of being a leader to the iconic K-pop group. "I love BTS because of our music, but if I kept caring about what everyone else thought I felt like I would want to die," RM said, before adding, "Being unable to say the things I want to say, not that I want to say whatever comes to mind, I think that’s why I worked on this album."

In case you missed out, RM released his second solo Right Place, Wrong Person on May 24 this year. Right Place, Wrong Person is an 11-track album that 'captures universal emotions that we all experience at some point in life.' The album falls within the alternative genre and will feature honest lyrics by the talented rapper.

Ahead of Right Place, Wrong Person, RM had released his debut studio album Indigo on December 2, 2022. The solo album consisted of ten songs with Wild Flower as its lead single. The BTS star also dropped collaborative singles with SoYoON! and Balming Tiger.

In December 2023, RM had enlisted at the Nonsan's Army Training Center to complete his mandatory military service. After completing his five-week long basic military training, the rapper was deployed to the 15th Infantry Division to complete the rest of his service. Namjoon will be discharged from service in June 2025.
