BTS’s RM’s new solo album is off to a strong start in the United States!

On June 2 local time, Billboard announced that RM’s new album “Right Place, Wrong Person” had debuted at No. 5 on its Top 200 Albums chart, which ranks the most popular albums in the United States.

The entry marks RM’s highest solo debut yet on the Billboard 200—while his previous album “Indigo” peaked at No. 3 on the chart, it initially debuted at No. 15.

With this achievement, RM has become the first K-pop soloist ever to land two different albums in the top five of the Billboard 200.

“Right Place, Wrong Person” also achieved RM’s biggest opening week to date in the United States. According to Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), “Right Place, Wrong Person” earned a total of 54,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on May 30. The album’s total score consisted of 43,000 traditional album sales and 7,500 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units, which translates to 10.16 million on-demand audio streams over the course of the week. The album also racked up 3,500 track equivalent album (TEA) units in its first week.

Congratulations to RM!
