While Jung Kook is currently focused on his military service in South Korea, his solo music career continues to thrive. Though he's not actively releasing new music, his dedicated fan base in the U.K. keeps his name alive on the charts.
This week, Jung Kook’s debut solo album, Golden, makes its return to the U.K. charts. The album reappears on the Official Albums Sales ranking, landing at No. 54 among the bestselling albums and EPs in the country.
Golden has now spent 20 weeks on the Official Albums Sales chart throughout its lifetime. It last appeared on the tally in January of this year, when it fell to No. 93 before disappearing from the rankings—seemingly for good.
The album also makes a comeback of a different kind on the Official Physical Albums chart, where it rises from No. 100 to No. 49. It’s spent just one more frame on this roster over the Official Albums Sales list.
Upon its initial release in November 2023, Golden reached the top 10 on both the Official Physical Albums and Official Albums Sales charts. At its peak, it hit No. 6 on the Official Physical Albums list and No. 4 on the Official Albums Sales ranking.
Golden quickly became a bestseller when it dropped, thanks in part to the successful promotion of its singles throughout 2023. Tracks like “Seven” featuring Latto, “3D” with Jack Harlow, and “Standing Next to You” all reached the top 10 on the U.K. songs chart, further cementing Jung Kook’s status as a superstar solo artist.
