BTS’s Jungkook has made Spotify history once again!
On October 14, Jungkook’s official debut single “Seven” (featuring Latto) surpassed 900 million streams on Spotify, making it the fastest song to reach the milestone in the history of the platform.
“Seven” took just 92 days to hit the 900 million mark, breaking the previous record of 93 days set by Miley Cyrus’s “Flowers.”
Additionally, Jungkook’s new single “3D” (featuring Jack Harlow) reached 100 million streams the same day—meaning that Jungkook’s upcoming solo album “GOLDEN,” which will include both “Seven” and 3D,” has already surpassed a total of 1 billion streams prior to its release on November 3.
Back in July, “Seven” (featuring Latto) previously made Spotify history as the first song by a K-pop soloist ever to debut at No. 1 on the Global Top Songs chart. The song’s record-breaking 24-hour debut also made Jungkook the first male artist from any country to surpass 15 million first-day streams with a new song on Spotify—and only the second overall, following Taylor Swift.
Congratulations to Jungkook on his impressive new record!
