Despite currently serving in the military, BTS member Jungkook continues to captivate fans with his music. His latest single, "Standing Next To You," has made headlines by becoming the fastest song by a K-pop solo artist to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify, achieving this milestone in just one year since its release on November 3, 2023.

This accomplishment adds to Jungkook's impressive track record; he previously saw success with his songs "Seven" and "Left and Right," both of which also surpassed the 1 billion streams mark.

In addition to his Spotify success, Jungkook's music video for "3D," featuring Jack Harlow, has surpassed 200 million views on YouTube. Released on September 29, 2023, the video has quickly become a fan favorite, further showcasing Jungkook's popularity even while he serves his mandatory military duties.

Jungkook enlisted for military service in December 2023 alongside fellow BTS member Jimin. They completed five weeks of basic training at the 5th Infantry Division, and Jungkook has since taken on the role of a cook. He is expected to be discharged in June 2025.

The singer made his solo debut in July 2023 with "Seven," followed by a collaboration with The Kid LAROI and the release of his solo album, "GOLDEN." To commemorate BTS's 11th debut anniversary, he also released the song "Never Let Go," further solidifying his place in the K-pop industry.
