Nearly four months after its release, BTS’s Jungkook’s solo debut album is climbing back up the Billboard 200!
On February 27 local time, Billboard revealed that Jungkook’s album “GOLDEN” had jumped 62 spots on its Top 200 Albums chart since last week. For the week ending on March 2, the album—which initially debuted at No. 2 back in November—shot back up to No. 75 in its 16th consecutive week on the Billboard 200.
Notably, “GOLDEN” is now the first album by a Korean solo artist ever to spend 16 weeks on the Billboard 200.
Jungkook also extended his own record as the longest-charting K-pop soloist on Billboard’s Artist 100, where he ranked No. 41 in his 28th week on the chart.
Jungkook’s title track “Standing Next to You” also spent its 16th consecutive week on Billboard’s Hot 100 at No. 81, in addition to rising to No. 4 on the Digital Song Sales chart and holding steady at No. 22 on the Pop Airplay chart (which measures weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States).
Meanwhile, “GOLDEN” stayed strong at No. 18 on Billboard’s Top Current Album Sales chart, and it also climbed back up to No. 24 on the Top Album Sales chart.
Finally, all three of Jungkook’s singles from “GOLDEN” continued to perform well on both of Billboard’s global charts this week. On the Global Excl. U.S. chart, “Seven” (featuring Latto) came in at No. 18, “Standing Next to You” at No. 24, and “3D” (featuring Jack Harlow) at No. 74. On the Global 200, “Seven” rose to No. 27, followed by “Standing Next to You” at No. 28 and “3D” at No. 108.
Congratulations to Jungkook on his ongoing success on the Billboard charts!
