BTS’s Jungkook has achieved an exciting first in the United Kingdom!
The British Phonographic Industry (BPI) has now announced that Jungkook’s official solo debut album “GOLDEN” has received an official silver certification. According to the BPI’s certification thresholds, albums are certified silver at 60,000 units sold, while singles are certified silver at 200,000 units sold.
With this achievement, Jungkook has become the first Korean solo artist ever to go silver with an album in the United Kingdom.
Notably, Jungkook also made history as the first Korean soloist to earn a BRIT certification for a single last year, when his smash hit “Seven” (featuring Latto) was officially certified silver.
Congratulations to Jungkook!
