BTS’s Jungkook has made history on the United Kingdom’s Official Albums Chart!
On November 10 local time, the United Kingdom’s Official Charts (widely regarded as the U.K. equivalent to Billboard’s U.S. charts) announced that Jungkook had broken the record for the highest ranking ever achieved by a Korean soloist on its Official Albums Chart.
Jungkook’s first solo album “GOLDEN” debuted at No. 3 for the week of November 9 to 15, making it the highest-charting album by any Korean solo artist in history.
The previous record belonged to Jungkook’s bandmate Suga, whose 2020 mixtape “D-2” reached No. 7 on the Official Albums Chart three years ago. To date, no other album by a Korean solo artist has ever entered the top 10.
Congratulations to Jungkook on his impressive new record!
