BTS's Jung Kook today claims his third Top 10 as a soloist with The Kid LAROI and Central Cee collaboration TOO MUCH, making him the first Korean solo artist to secure three Top 10 singles in UK chart history.

In doing so, Jung Kook takes the title from previous record-holder Psy, who has two to his name to date.

Jeon Jung-kook, main vocalist of BTS alongside bandmates Jin, SUGA, j-hope, RM, Jimin and V, follows the success of previous 2023 releases Seven featuring Latto and Jack Harlow team-up 3D, which reached Number 3 and Number 5 on the Official Singles Chart respectively.

Psy previously held the record as the Korean soloist with the most Top 10 singles in the UK. His breakout hit Gangnam Style became the UK's first K-pop chart-topper in 2012, while follow-up Gentleman peaked at Number 10 the following year.

Psy's last Official Singles Chart appearance came courtesy of a collaboration with Jung Kook's BTS bandmate SUGA, with That That peaking at Number 61 in 2022.

As a member of BTS, Jung Kook has secured four Top 10 singles. The group have so far seen Top 10 success with 2020's Dynamite (3) and Life Goes On (10), as well as 2021's Butter (3) and Coldplay collab My Universe (3).

The achievement comes ahead of the release of Jung Kook's debut solo album GOLDEN, set for release on November 3 2023.

The record will also feature collaborations with Major Lazer (Close to You) and DJ Snake (Please Don't Change) and includes writing credits from the likes of Ed Sheeran and Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid (Yes or No) and long-time BTS songwriters David Stewart and Jessica Agombar (Too Sad to Dance, Shot Glass of Tears).
