On December 7th, BTS member Jin appeared on NHK’s flagship music program, ‘Venue101,’ delivering an outstanding live performance and captivating fans with his visuals.
The episode was dedicated to Jin under the title ‘Venue101 Presents JIN SPECIAL.’ This marked Jin’s first live performance in Japan in nearly five years since BTS’s ‘5th Muster Magic Shop in Japan’ fan meeting in December 2019.
During the talk segment, Jin’s humor shone through. When asked about moments he feels handsome or to demonstrate a "handsome pose," he jokingly responded, “I’m always handsome,” and struck a simple standing pose, filling the room with laughter.
Jin also shared his hopes for the future, stating, “I want to perform with the BTS members as soon as possible. The other members have also expressed their desire to perform together.” He added, “Creating this album was such an enjoyable experience that I’d love to add more songs and perform again.”
Expressing his dedication to his fans, Jin revealed that he created ‘Happy’ with the wish to bring them joy. He said, “Your happiness is my happiness. I have no choice but to work hard. If ARMY wants, I’ll always come to meet you.” He ended the program on an emotional note, leaving fans deeply moved.
‘Happy’ has achieved remarkable success in Japan. Released on November 15th, the album secured 19th place on Billboard Japan’s 2024 Year-End Hot Albums Chart (based on data collected from November 27, 2023, to November 24, 2024) despite being out for only 10 days. It also ranked 20th on the Top Album Sales chart and 33rd on the Download Albums chart, receiving immense love from fans.
