Jin marked his 31st birthday today, December 4. Although he was unable to host a livestream as he has traditionally done in the past, Jin expressed his gratitude to the band's fanbase, known as ARMY, for their birthday wishes.
Through a note on the Weverse platform, he conveyed his regret for not being able to celebrate his birthday with fans via livestream, but assured them that he was enjoying his day. He wrote, "Hello, I'm Jin. Thank you for wishing me a happy birthday. I always enjoyed it with lives on my birthday as a ARMY, but unfortunately, I can't enjoy it this year, so it's heartbreaking. Even though you can't be with your body, please know that you are having a great time with your heart. Hehe."
The singer also discussed his military service and the upcoming enlistment of fellow BTS members RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook. Jin revealed that he has already completed a year of his military service, and expressed anticipation for his return to the band and fans. "It has already been a year since I joined the military. There's still a lot of time, but I am already excited to be with you if I spend only a third of my time. Oh, and our members are going to join to army. I am going to cry. I hope that time passes quickly and i can have a good time with the members and the ARMYs."
He also humorously mentioned his emotional state regarding the other members' upcoming enlistment. In addition, Jin shared that he had been promoted to the rank of sergeant from corporal due to his exceptional performance during his military service.
