Jin releases new photos and Q&A for December issue of VOGUE JAPAN

In the 11 years since you debuted, BTS has become one of the top global artists. What kind of group do you want to be for the next 5 to 10 years? And how do you want to grow as an individual?
I wish time could stand still. Even when I’m old and gray, I want to work just as hard as I do now. I want to make sure that ARMY members are getting joy from watching me. I don’t know how long I can do that for, but I’ll give it my best shot.


What has inspired you most recently?
The color blue. When I see blue, bright things come to mind.


How would you describe your style?
What I’m wearing right now, that’s my style.


You interact with ARMY not only at concerts, but also through various platforms such as weverse, Instagram, X, etc. Like at this year’s BTS FESTA, you always seem to be coming up with new ways to entertain your fans. What do you like most about your interactions with fans, and what does ARMY mean to you?
I like surprises! I like to be surprised, but I think I am happier when I surprise someone and see their reaction. I’m having trouble coming up with ideas these days. If I am not able to make people feel something new, I’d like people to understand that it’s tough to always be thinking of fresh ideas. But I still want to surprise you!


If you had the chance to come to Japan, what would you like to do?
I would love to take a walk around the city at night. I think Japan looks beautiful at night.


When was the last time you laughed and why?
I laugh every day, so I’m not sure when it was. I am laughing as we speak at this very moment (laughs). I’m happy!
