BTS' Jin has once again captivated audiences with his latest original soundtrack (OST), "Close To You," featured in the popular K-drama "When The Stars Gossip." The track debuted in episode 7 and has been officially released alongside episode 8, evoking deep emotions of love and longing among listeners.
Set against the backdrop of space, "Close To You" mirrors the show's themes of affection and yearning. The lyrics, such as "I swim through the deep time, this place that stretches out endlessly, just to get close to you," resonate with the characters' emotions and Jin's personal connection with BTS fans, known as ARMY. This sentiment harks back to the mutual longing experienced during Jin's military service.
This release marks Jin's first OST since his military discharge and the launch of his solo album, "Happy." Previously, he lent his voice to "Yours" for the drama "Jirisan" and collaborated with fellow BTS member V on "It's Definitely You" for "Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth." "Close To You" adds another notable achievement to Jin's musical repertoire.
"When The Stars Gossip," starring Lee Min-ho and Gong Hyo-jin, is currently streaming on Netflix, with new episodes released bi-weekly every weekend.
