Jimin Ties With Bandmate J-Hope With Another Bestseller

For at least the next few hours, Jimin claims a top 10 hit in America. The BTS singer’s new single “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” is living inside the highest tier on the Digital Song Sales chart, where it debuted several days ago.

The arrival of “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” helps Jimin make history, as it adds to his growing list of smashes on the Digital Song Sales chart. With one more win to his credit, he matches one of his friends as he advances again on an important ranking.

Jimin has now scored eight top 10 hits on the Digital Song Sales chart. That number includes only the tunes he’s released as a soloist, under his own name. When looking at the work he’s produced as a member of BTS, his count grows significantly.

With an eighth smash now included in his discography, Jimin ties his BTS bandmate J-Hope. The two are matched for the third-most top 10s on the Digital Song Sales chart among South Korean solo musicians in the history of the tally.

Leading the way among all artists that fit that description is Jung Kook. The BTS singer has pushed 14 tracks into the loftiest region on the Digital Song Sales chart. Suga, from the same group, comes next, with nine wins.

“Smeraldo Garden Marching Band,” which features fellow South Korean artist Loco, launches at No. 3 on the Digital Song Sales chart this week. The tune earns the top start of the frame, and it comes in behind only smashes from Shaboozey and both Post Malone and Morgan Wallen.

In its first full tracking frame of availability, “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” sold just under 11,000 copies, according to Luminate. That number proved to be enough to also send the cut to the Hot 100, where it opens at No. 88.
