Jimin becomes the first Asian act to reach #1 on the Global Digital Artists Rank in 2024

On Tuesday, July 23, BTS' Jimin achieved the first Asian act to reach #1 on the Global Digital Artists Rank in 2024 with 7,088 points. This makes Jimin the most consumed artist on all digital platforms worldwide. American singer Taylor Swift previously held the position with 5831 points.

His second solo album, MUSE, allowed him to make his recent embarkation. Five days after its release, the album became the biggest act on iTunes for an album. But before this achievement, MUSE topped the Worldwide and European Album & Song charts simultaneously on the fourth day after its release.

The album has also topped iTunes in 80+ countries, and its title track, WHO, reached #1 in 116 countries. This makes Jimin the first and the only artist ever in iTunes history to reach #1 in 116 countries with six songs. The tracks, With You, Closer Than This, Crazy, Filter, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band, and WHO, have ranked #1 on iTunes across 116 countries and more.

All you need to know about BTS Jimin's solo career and recent second album release, MUSE
The vocalist and main dancer of the seven-piece K-pop boy group, Jimin, officially made his solo debut with the release of his first album, FACE, in March 2023. The album garnered a lot of attention for the idol's powerful vocals, energetic choreography, and the diversity in the album's tracks.

As fans were excited to get a glimpse of what Jimin's solo career had in store, the idol rolled yet another solo release. On July 19, 2024, he released his second solo album, MUSE, with seven tracks. MUSE utterly impressed fans due to the range it showcased compared to FACE.

However, these two albums aren't the only releases by the BTS member. His first-ever release, which still stands as one of the most heartwarming tracks for ARMYs, is Promise, a single he released in 2018. While the track was initially rolled out on SoundCloud after his official solo debut, it has been made available on Spotify and other streaming platforms.

The idol has also released OSTs and other singles between the release of his two albums. He sang the track With You for Our Blues K-drama series in 2022 and collaborated with other solo artists such as VIBE with Taeyang, Angel for the Fast and Furious The Fast Saga movie, etc.

He also released a track called Closer Than This as a gift to ARMYs before his mandatory military enlistment. While the idol is currently serving in the military and isn't expected to be discharged until June 2025, his agency has been releasing content he prerecorded before his enlistment to keep ARMYs occupied.
