In a heartwarming act of generosity, BTS member J-Hope celebrated his birthday on February 18 by donating 200 million won to the Asan Medical Center Children's Hospital in Seoul. This gesture highlights his ongoing commitment to supporting children's healthcare.
Asan Medical Center confirmed the donation on the 18th, noting that J-Hope expressed his intention to continue supporting the hospital in the future. The artist's contribution will aid in improving medical facilities, enhancing the medical environment for pediatric and adolescent patients, and funding research on severe and rare childhood diseases.
"I hope this donation can provide even a small comfort to children who are suffering at this moment," J-Hope shared. "I sincerely wish for all children to dream of a healthy and hopeful future."
The BTS member also acknowledged his fans, known as ARMY, for their unwavering support. "I wanted to give back to ARMY who always shower me with love. I am grateful beyond words and believe that continuing to donate every year, starting with my birthday this year, holds significant meaning."
This is not J-Hope's first philanthropic contribution to Asan Medical Center. In 2022, he donated 100 million won to support pediatric patients. His continued generosity is set to make a substantial impact on young patients and their families.
Following his discharge from the military in October last year, J-Hope has embarked on his solo career. He is set to begin his first solo world tour, 'HOPE ON THE STAGE,' with a concert series at the KSPO Dome in Olympic Park, Seoul, from February 28 to March 2.
