During a recent live stream, J Balvin revealed that he had recorded a song with BTS prior to their enlistment. While the Mi Gente crooner did tease the track, he also shared that he has no idea when it will be released. "I've got a song that I recorded with BTS, it was never released or it's not released yet, because we don't know what happens in life," the 'Prince of Reggaeton' said.
Back in 2023, J Balvin was asked if he would want to collaborate with BTS, to which the singer responded, "I’ve met them before and I mean they’re great. I would like to, why not?" He had also praised BTS for their contribution to the increasing interest in Korean culture, language and entertainment. "They sing in Korean; I’m Latino and I sing in Spanish. It’s about having a global reach. I mean you have to learn a little bit about the culture and the sound, but I think it’s great. People connect with their music, which means they’re doing the right thing," J Balvin said.
All seven BTS members are currently completing their mandatory military service. While Jin and J-hope are drill instructors at military trining camps, Suga is serving as a social service agent. RM is completing his service at the 15th Infantry Division, while V has been deployed to the ROK II Corps. Meanwhile, Jimin as well as Jungkook reportedly joined the 5th Infantry Division. The group will reunite as seven by June 2025.
J Balvin said in a live on IG that he recorded a song with @BTS_twt but the song never came out or hasn't come out yet because he doesn't know yet.
